14 more dead were found under the rubble of a collapsed apartment building in Florida

The death toll in the collapse of an apartment building in the US state of Florida reached 78 after rescuers recovered 14 more bodies, said the mayor of Miami-Dade County, Daniella Levine Cava.

“We have extracted 14 more victims of the tragedy. Thus, the total number of confirmed deaths is 78,” Cava said at a press conference.

According to her, the identities of 47 victims were identified.

A residential building in the city of Surfside, which is part of the Miami metropolitan area, partially collapsed on the night of June 24.
