A criminal case was filed against the governor of New York

An assistant to the governor of the state of New York, Andrew Cuomo, who previously made accusations of indecent behavior against him, has filed a criminal case against him, the New York Post reported.

It is noted that we are talking about Cuomo’s assistant, who previously accused him of allegedly getting under her blouse and grabbing her breasts in his mansion in Albany (the capital of New York State). The woman, who has not been named, is designated as an “executive assistant” in the report of the New York Attorney General Letitia James. She filed the report on Thursday afternoon, Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple said.

It is emphasized that, according to Apple, if the woman’s words are confirmed, Cuomo may be detained.

As previously stated by the prosecutor of the State of New York, Letitia James, the investigation showed that Cuomo often allowed unacceptable behavior against women and sexually harassed them. According to her, we are talking about 11 women whom the governor involved “in undesirable activity for them”: kisses, hugs. Employees were afraid to report harassment out of fear, the prosecutor said. Cuomo has denied the allegations.

US President Joe Biden, Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, and US Senators from New York Kirsten Gillibrand and Chuck Schumer called for Cuomo’s resignation. Cuomo himself denies accusations of sexual harassment of women.
