Part of the hotel building collapsed on Monday in the city of Suzhou in China’s eastern province of Jiangsu, as a result, one person was killed, and 10 more were missing, according to China Central Television.
The collapse of the building of the hotel “Siji Kaiyuan” occurred on Monday afternoon for an unknown reason. As of 18.40 local time, eight people were extracted from the rubble, one of whom was killed, the condition of four people is stable, and three are receiving medical assistance.
A search and rescue operation is underway at the site. There was no official data on how many people were in the hotel building at the time of the collapse.
