Launched three years ago, the Epic Games store has sought to bite off market share from the digital gaming master Steam. One of the key points in their strategy was to offer free games to everyone who signed up. And not just small indie games. One of the next will be A Plague Tale: Innocence from Asobo Studio.
The store currently offers Train Sim World 2 and Mothergunship. And from August 5 to 12, they will be replaced by Speed Brawl and A Plague Tale: Innocence.
A game from the French studio Asobo meets you with little Amicia and Hugo, brother and sister, faced with a hostile reality in the midst of a raging plague, pursuing the mines of the Inquisition and hordes of horrible rats that fill the streets of Paris.
The game was released in May 2019 and has sold over a million copies in just a year. Great reviews and many awards suggest that A Plague Tale: Innocence will have a sequel. Announced earlier this summer: A Plague Tale: Requiem continues the story of the protagonists.
Meanwhile, the Epic Games Store continues the Summer Sale, which will run until August 5th. NBA 2K21, Assassin’s Creed Valahalla, GTA V, Banner Saga trilogy and many more games are on sale at a serious discount.
