Zhao Lijian showed an illustration showing a hand painted in the colors of the American flag with a pistol held to a man’s temple.

The official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Zhao Lijian, published a cartoon reflecting the forceful methods of influence resorted to by the United States when communicating with other states.

“When the U.S. forces others to take sides, it actually means…” the diplomat wrote on his Twitter page. “Take (my) side!” reads the second part of the phrase, placed in the illustration, which depicts a hand painted in the colors of the American flag with a pistol held to a person’s temple.

Earlier, White House press Secretary Jen Psaki said that the United States wants to hear from China words of condemnation against Russia in connection with the events in Ukraine. At the same time, she said that “China’s rapprochement with Russia” is alarming “not only for the United States,” but also for “many in Europe.”

In turn, the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, Vasily Nebenzia, has repeatedly stated that the United States, resorting to economic blackmail and threats, continues to exert significant pressure on delegations of different countries, seeking from them the position Washington needs when voting.
