A teenager was killed and three people were injured in a shooting that occurred during a street party in downtown Washington, the authorities of the American capital reported.
The police interrupted the celebrations with the participation of several hundred people after a series of scuffles between the crowds, one of whom used firearms.
“Someone used a weapon, and the child is dead,” Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser said at a press conference.
According to security officials, the victim of the shooting was 15 years old. Three adults were injured, including a law enforcement officer.
