In Oregon, where the temperature rose to a record 46-48 degrees at the end of July, at least 83 people died, and in Washington State – 112.

Deaths in other American states are not reported, but there are known cases of deaths in Canada, where more than 600 people became victims of the abnormal heat,

The U.S. Congress is already preparing some measures to combat extreme heat. The authorities intend to allocate $ 100 million to develop local projects designed to alleviate the consequences of the weather anomaly.
