American film and television actor Gavin MacLeod, known for the TV series The Love Boat, has died at the age of 90, his nephew Mark C told Variety.

According to a relative, MacLeod died on Saturday morning; the cause of death was not disclosed. The publication noted that in recent months, the actor’s health has deteriorated. Gavin MacLeod is known for his roles in the TV series McHale’s Navy, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and The Love Boat. The actor also took part in theatrical productions on Broadway. In 2008, MacLeod performed in Denver as conductor of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra.
