The American company Apple has released an updated operating system (OS) macOS. This was reported on Monday on the company’s website.
In the new OS, called Monterey, the design of the Safari browser has changed – now the tab bar is painted in the color of the site, and the tabs themselves are combined with the search bar and toolbar. In addition, users will now be able to group tabs and sync them between Mac, iPhone, and iPad.
In addition, “Quick Commands” have appeared on the Mac, allowing you to automate everyday tasks. The new “Universal Control” function will allow you to establish a connection with the iPad instantly; for this, you can use one keyboard, trackpad, or mouse to work simultaneously on one or more devices. The AirPlay feature streams content, such as movies or games, from an iPhone or iPad to a Mac.
Facetime update will now allow you to watch TV shows or movies, listen to music, or show your screen using the SharePlay function. Among other things, the company has updated the notification mode: the user will now be able to set a “focus mode” in which only the notifications he needs are allowed.
In the new update, the Maps application will reach a new level of detail; three-dimensional images of attractions will become available to the user, as well as “roads, districts, trees, buildings and much more are visible.”
Apple announced the updated macOS Monterey OS on July 7, 2021, as part of its annual developer conference WWDC 2021. The company announced that the OS would be available on the latest iMac, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro 13, Mac mini, and Mac computers based on Intel processors. The beta version for all Mac users became available in July.
