Apple is gradually adding new sensors to its Apple Watch that enhance its functionality. But in the near future, you should not count on a fingerprint scanner.

Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman is convinced of this. Even though he thinks Touch ID will have a positive impact on security. First of all, when approving payments through Apple Pay, after all, Apple representatives previously announced their intention to replace physical wallets with smartwatches from the company.

However, Gurman says the Apple Watch won’t get Touch ID for the foreseeable future, but doesn’t elaborate on why. Although, in fairness, while fingerprint scanners are added mainly only to smartphones, tablets and laptops, since there is a place where to roam.

The Apple Watch Series 7 is rumored to have a larger battery, and future generations could get a body temperature sensor and blood glucose meter.
