ASUS launched the ROG Phone 5 gaming smartphone in March this year and is now preparing to release its improved version.

The device with the name ROG Phone 5s “lit up” on one of the Chinese Internet sites. According to the leak, the main difference will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ processor. Recall that the SoC is an overclocked version of the regular Snapdragon 888. It has an increased frequency of the Cortex-X1 core from 2.84 GHz to 2.995 GHz, as well as improved performance of the Qualcomm AI Engine.

As for the other specifications of the novelty, they will remain the same. ASUS ROG Phone 5s will receive an OLED display at 144 Hz with a protective glass Gorilla Glass Victus, a 6000 mAh battery with support for fast charging at 65 W, up to 16 GB of RAM, a 24-megapixel front camera and a triple main camera with 64 MP + 13 MP + 5 MP.

There is no date for the announcement of ASUS ROG Phone 5s yet, but rumor has it that the smartphone may be presented as early as this month.
