At least 35 people are missing after flooding in the United States

Severe flooding occurred in the US state of North Carolina due to tropical storm Fred; at least 35 people were missing, CNN reports.

By now, the storm has already weakened to a post-tropical cyclone but continues to pose a danger. Forecasters warned of the threat of heavy rains and tornadoes.

Earlier, it was reported that the strongest forest fires in California led to the formation of a fiery tornado.
