Actress Patricia Hitchcock, the only daughter of the famous director Alfred Hitchcock, has died at the age of 93, The Hollywood reporter reports.

The information was confirmed to the publication by Katie Fiala, the youngest daughter of Patricia. She said that her mother died on Monday at her home located in the California city of Thousand Oaks (USA).

The exact cause of death has not yet been disclosed.

Patricia Hitchcock was born on July 7, 1928, in the family of Alfred Hitchcock and screenwriter Alma Reville (the couple was together until the director died in 1980).

Patricia began her career in the 1940s as a theater actress. She later appeared in several of her father’s films, including Stage Fright, Strangers on a Train, and Psycho.
