The famous actor gave an interview for the first time after the death of cameraman Halyna Hutchins.

Alec Baldwin stated that he did not pull the trigger of the revolver, the bullet from which killed the cameraman during the filming of the film “Rust” on October 21.

Then cameraman Halyna Hutchins died and director Joel Souza was injured. Baldwin is the lead actor and producer of this low-budget western.

In the first interview after the tragedy, which is scheduled to air on Thursday, December 2, Baldwin told journalist George Stephanopoulos from ABC: “The trigger was not pulled. I didn’t click on it.” He added: “I will never point a gun at a person and I will never pull the trigger. Never.”

The Santa Fe Sheriff’s Office, which is leading the investigation, said it does not comment on Baldwin’s statements.

So far, no charges have been filed in this case.

Some members of the crew had previously filed a lawsuit accusing Baldwin and other producers of the film of negligence and disregard for safety rules.

The producers announced that they had launched an internal investigation.
