“Today I am also announcing the allocation of an additional $225 million for humanitarian assistance to help people in Ukraine, in particular, to provide them with drinking water, essential drugs and medicines, food, shelter and money with which families can buy what they need,” Biden said.

It is noted that the package of military assistance includes “additional artillery weapons and coastal defense systems, as well as ammunition for artillery and modern missile systems that Ukrainians need to support defensive operations in the Donbass.”
