The U.S. President Joe Biden visited the military of the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States stationed in Rzeszow, thanked them and had a pizza lunch before meeting with the President of Poland.

“Thank you very much for what you are doing, you are the best, and this is not an exaggeration. You are the best, and you are fighting for us in the history of the world. This is not an exaggeration,” Biden said, visiting the dining room where the U.S. military gathered. The US Armed Forces are stationed at the stadium near Rzeszow-Jasionka International Airport. CNN showed the president’s meeting with American soldiers in the recording.

Thanking the military, Biden asked if they had finished the meal, and if it had just begun, asked for permission to have lunch with them. “I would have eaten beans,” Biden said, but he was offered pizza. Biden himself and the soldiers next to him took a slice of pizza. Prior to that, Biden went to the barber shop, where, according to the White House pool, he also talked with the U.S. military.

After meeting with the military, Biden went to a meeting on the humanitarian situation in Ukraine, after which his talks with Polish President Andrzej Duda should take place.

The opportunity to visit the military appeared in Biden’s schedule changed due to the delay in the arrival of the Polish leader at the talks. Duda’s plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Warsaw. The Polish leader flew to Rzeszow on a reserve plane.
