Russia, having launched an operation in Ukraine, got the opposite result, the U.S. president believes.

The U.S. President Joe Biden claims that talks about Finland and Sweden joining NATO indicate that Russia, having launched an operation in Ukraine, got the opposite result. Biden gave an interview to blogger Brian Cowan. The video was posted on YouTube on Saturday.

“NATO is even more united. Look at what’s going on with Finland and Sweden and other countries. This led to the exact opposite effect compared to that to which he (Russian President Vladimir Putin) aspired,” Biden said. “We must stick to our course with the rest of our allies.”

“At the same time, we provide defensive weapons and economic assistance to Ukraine. I think it’s important that we stick to this course,” the U.S. president said.
