Biden called for business help

The Supply crisis threatens the U.S. economy.

U.S. President Joe Biden called on business structures to help resolve the crisis with the supply of goods, which threatens the winter holidays season.

Biden said that the largest U.S. ports – Los Angeles and Long Beach – will start working around the clock to ensure the transportation of approximately 500 thousand containers waiting to be unloaded on ships standing in the roadstead.

Biden said that major retail and transportation companies such as Walmart and Target are also stepping up their operations.

Biden stressed that this is only the first step to resolve the supply crisis in the United States, the world’s largest consumer market and that the federal government will actively participate in this.

The crisis of supply systems is partly caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting shortage of warehouse workers and drivers.

The decline in sales during the holiday season can have a negative impact on the U.S. economy.
