Biden could not remember the name of the Prime Minister of Australia

U.S. President Joe Biden forgot the name of Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison during the negotiations.

On Wednesday evening, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, his Australian counterpart and the American leader in a published joint statement, officially announced the creation of a new AUKUS partnership in the field of defense and security.

At the presentation of the initiative, Biden thanked Johnson via video link, calling him by name. After a pause, the U.S. president turned to the screen with Morrison, pointed at him, and said that he wanted to thank the Australian prime minister as well. Then the president was silent again for a moment and then called his interlocutor “a guy from the opposite side,” “a friend,” and “Mr. Prime Minister.”
