Democrat Joe Biden, who was elected, according to preliminary data, President of the United States, does not exclude the appointment of Republicans to his Cabinet.

In an interview with MSNBC in response to a question about whether the appointment of Republicans is possible, Biden replied: “Yes, we still have a lot of different assignments to make.”

According to him, his goal is for the country to be “united.”

When asked whether to wait for announcements about such appointments soon, Biden said: “Not shortly.”

The appointment of officials from other parties in the United States happens, but infrequently. Incumbent President Donald Trump has appointed half a dozen Democrats to serve as his advisers.

His predecessor, Barack Obama, appointed at least six Republicans as Ministers.
