A White House spokesman said that the leaders of the United States and France also discussed assistance to Ukraine.

The U.S. President Joe Biden discussed on Thursday with French Leader Emmanuel Macron on the sidelines of the NATO summit the commitment to continuing pressure on Russia in connection with the situation in Ukraine, as well as assistance to Kyiv. This was stated to reporters by a representative of the White House.

“The leaders discussed the common commitment of the United States and France to continue holding Russia accountable for its actions in Ukraine, as well as [commitment] to support the government and people of Ukraine,” the White House press pool quoted him as saying.
