US President Joe Biden is considering the candidacy of Carolyn Kennedy, the daughter of the 35th head of the US administration (from 1961 to 1963) John F. Kennedy (1917-1963), for nomination as Ambassador to Australia. The news portal Axios reported this.
Biden is also discussing the possibility of nominating Vickie Kennedy – the widow of the younger brother of the 35th US President and Senator Ted Kennedy – to head the US diplomatic mission to one of the Western European countries. Carolyn Kennedy served as Ambassador to Tokyo during the second administration of President Barack Obama. The White House did not comment on the publication personnel proposals.
