According to the WSJ, Christopher Cavoli will become the new commander-in-chief of the NATO Joint Armed Forces in Europe.

The U.S. President Joe Biden intends to reshuffle the command of American troops in Europe, The Wall Street Journal newspaper reported.

According to her, American General Tod Walters, the commander of the U.S. European Command, as well as the Supreme commander of the NATO Joint Armed Forces in Europe, will be replaced by Christopher Cavoli, who currently holds the position of commander of the U.S. army in Europe and Africa.

In addition, the head of the Special Operations Command (SOCOM), General Richard Clarke, will be replaced by General Bryan Fenton, who heads the United States Joint Special Operations Command – a division of SOCOM, The Wall Street Journal notes.

This unit is responsible for training special forces and conducting separate operations by special forces, the newspaper reports.
