The head of the White House said that the United States intends to continue to actively participate in the affairs of the region.
During the virtual meeting of the participants of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), US President Joe Biden noted the need to ensure freedom in the region and pointed out the importance of investing in global healthcare. This is stated in a statement issued on Friday by the White House press service.
Biden said that the United States intends to continue to actively participate in the affairs of the region. “The President stressed the importance of multilateral cooperation and reaffirmed his commitment to [ensuring] a free and open Indo-Pacific region,” the message reads.
The head of the White House recalled the promise to allocate about 500 million doses of coronavirus vaccines to more than a hundred countries.
