Biden suggested Putin protect critical infrastructure from cyberattacks

US President Joe Biden said that he gave Russian President Vladimir Putin a list of 16 organizations of critical infrastructure, attacks on which the US considers unacceptable.

“We spent quite a lot of time discussing cyberspace and cybersecurity. I said that some of the critical infrastructures should be outside of attacks, no matter what, including cyber-attacks. I gave him (Putin) a list of, if I’m not mistaken, 16 organizations that are part of critical infrastructure in the United States,” Biden said at a press conference following talks with the Russian president.

He explained that the list concerns departments and enterprises engaged in various industries-from water supply systems to energy.
