The President reiterated that he had fulfilled his promise several weeks earlier than planned.

Americans have received more than 100 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine since the inauguration of US President Joe Biden on January 20. This was stated on Friday by the American leader himself, who visited the headquarters of the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) USA in Atlanta (Georgia).

He reiterated that he had fulfilled his promise several weeks earlier than planned. “Everyone thought I didn’t know what I was talking about when I announced my goal of [introducing] 100 million doses of vaccines in the first 100 days of my presidency. And everyone said [with irony]: “Well, yes, of course.” Now there are more than 100 million of them [administered doses],” he said.

Once again, criticizing the strategy of the previous administration to combat the spread of the coronavirus, the president stressed: “We will not go back to the old days.”

According to the CDC, a total of 118.3 million doses of the vaccine have been administered in the country so far. By the day of Biden’s inauguration (January 20), this figure was 16.5 million.
