The U.S. President Joe Biden on Thursday intends to announce the introduction of sanctions against large Russian banks and individuals, as well as export control measures. This was reported on the air by a CNN journalist with reference to sources in the American administration.
According to him, the sanctions will include “export control measures restricting the export of American technologies to Russia,” which will have a negative impact, including on the military industry.
“We also expect sanctions against Russian banks,” the journalist continued and noted that we are talking about “larger financial institutions” compared to those affected by the restrictions imposed by the United States on Tuesday. In addition, it is expected to introduce “additional sanctions against members of the entourage of [Russian President] Vladimir Putin,” as well as members of their families.
