U.S. President Joe Biden, opening Summit of North American leaders at the White House, called on Canada and Mexico to work together with the United States to combat the coronavirus pandemic and the consequences of the migration and climate crisis.

“We must put an end to the pandemic and take decisive action to contain the climate crisis. We must implement inclusive economic recovery. We must cope with the problem of unprecedented migration in our hemisphere,” the Head of state stressed.

Biden added that the future of North America should be built on the common strengths of the three countries and stated the importance of partnership in ensuring supply chains and in the fight against cybercrime.

The summit of the leaders of the states was held for the first time since 2016. It was attended by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
