According to the U.S. president, the vote “showed Putin’s isolation.”

The U.S. President Joe Biden welcomed the results of the vote in the UN General Assembly, which condemned Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.

“This extraordinary step by the UN demonstrates the extent of global outrage at Russia’s horrific attack on a sovereign neighbor and demonstrates unprecedented global unity,” Biden said in a statement.

“Today’s vote showed Putin’s isolation,” he continued.

According to Biden, Russian President Vladimir Putin attacked not only Ukraine, but also the very foundations of global peace and security, as well as everything the UN stands for.

“We see with our own eyes what is happening in Ukraine,” the American president continued. “Russia is responsible for the devastating human rights violations and the international humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, which we are monitoring in real time.”

“Together we must and will hold Russia accountable for its actions,” Biden concluded, speaking about the UN. –We will demonstrate that freedom always wins over tyranny.”
