This will be the second official speech by the U.S. president dedicated to the situation in this country after the Taliban established full control over Kabul.

U.S. President Joe Biden will deliver a speech at the White House on Friday on the process of evacuating people from Afghanistan.

“The President will deliver a speech on the evacuation of American citizens and their family members, special immigration visa applicants, and their relatives, as well as vulnerable Afghans,” Biden’s schedule for August 20, distributed by the White House on Thursday, says.

This will be Biden’s second official speech dedicated to the situation in Afghanistan, after the militants of the radical Taliban movement (a terrorist organization banned in Russia) entered Kabul without a fight on August 15 and within a few hours established full control over the Afghan capital.
