Biden’s speech will focus on his administration’s measures aimed at “reducing the impact of <…> rising energy prices and lower gasoline prices for American families,” the document says. According to the U.S. authorities, the rise in fuel prices is caused by Russia’s actions.

Earlier on Wednesday, Bloomberg journalist Jennifer Jacobs, citing sources, reported that the Biden administration is considering releasing a million barrels of oil from the strategic reserve every day for several months. The total volume of oil that is planned to be released from storage facilities may reach 108 million barrels. As The Washington Post reported in turn, Biden is expected to announce these measures on Thursday.
