The U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken reaffirmed the determination of the United States to expand support for Ukraine in the face of aggression from Russia and called on other countries to follow the U.S. example.

Blinken spoke following talks between the heads of the defense and foreign ministries of the United States and India.

The head of American diplomacy called Russia’s armed invasion of Ukraine “an attack on the rules-based order.”

“The United States will continue to strengthen our support for the government and people of Ukraine and call on other countries to do the same,” he said.

“Russian aggression stands in stark contrast to the vision of a free and open Indo-Pacific region shared by the United States and India,” the Secretary of State said.

“Russia’s actions have a profound impact not only on Europe and Ukraine, but also on the whole world. For example, they cause food instability and price increases,” Blinken said.

In particular, according to him, the fighting currently hinders the supply of grain from Ukraine.
