The U.S. Secretary of State once again expressed support for the people and government of Ukraine.
The U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke by phone with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, discussing with him diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the conflict. This was announced by the U.S. Department of State.
“Today, the U.S. Secretary of State <…> spoke by phone with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba to express continued support for the people and government of Ukraine and to condemn the ongoing attacks by the Russian Federation on Ukrainian cities, as a result of which more and more civilians are being killed,” the Department of State said in a press release.
It emphasizes that the parties discussed diplomatic efforts that would allow ending the conflict in Ukraine.
Earlier on Sunday, in an interview with CBS, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister said that he considers the most urgent issues in the process of providing foreign military assistance to Ukraine to be the provision of fighter jets to Kyiv.
