Publisher and developer Blizzard Entertainment in the official microblogging of the Diablo series presented the opening cutscenes of the first two acts of the story campaign of the action RPG Diablo II: Resurrected.

Recall, specifically for the re-release, Blizzard Entertainment recreated (through the efforts of Vicarious Visions) all the cutscenes from the original Diablo from scratch. You can see them with your own eyes in the playlist attached below (Russian and English versions).

Judging by the comments on YouTube and on Blizzard Entertainment’s social networks, the result met the expectations of the fans: fans of the franchise do not skimp on epithets and loud statements like “This is how to make remasters.”

To give context to the fruits of the labors of Blizzard Entertainment and Vicarious Visions, a video comparison of the new and old versions of the above cutscenes published by the GameSpot portal (and not only) will help.

The changes are visible to the naked eye: the developers of Diablo II: Resurrected have updated the character models, enriched them and scenes with details, as well as improved visuals (for example, fire).

The release of Diablo II: Resurrected is expected on September 23rd on PC (Battle.net), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch. For pre-ordering the games, they give early access to the upcoming beta testing.

For pre-order holders, the tests will take place from August 13 to 17, and for everyone else – from August 20 to 23. The game will be playable on all target platforms except Nintendo Switch.
