Former Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos can now go on board the New Shepard.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved Blue Origin’s license to transport people on the New Shepard space system.
Former CEO Amazon.com Jeff Bezos is going to take part in the first flight of Blue Origin next week. The agency confirmed that Blue Origin has the right to transport people as long as its FAA license is valid until the end of August and allows the use of Launch Site One in Texas for these missions.
Blue Origin was required to confirm that the hardware and software of its launch vehicle was operating safely during the test flight, and the FAA confirmed that it met regulatory requirements.
