Deliveries of 787 Dreamliner aircraft have been suspended due to the appearance of additional requirements from regulatory authorities, writes The Wall Street Journal.
According to the publication, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) The United States has requested additional information from Boeing about the method of checking the 787 Dreamliner aircraft and eliminating the shortcomings identified earlier during their assembly.
It is noted that for this reason, the American Airlines Group company lost its deliveries this week.
On Friday, the Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that Boeing had suspended deliveries of the Dreamliner, saying the aircraft manufacturer must demonstrate that its proposed verification method complies with federal safety regulations, the newspaper reported.
For how long deliveries will be suspended and when they will resume, it is not specified.
The airline has already suspended the delivery of the Dreamliner for five months, after which customers received 12 airliners of this model.
