Compensation will be paid due to Boeing 737 MAX aircraft crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia. Part of the funds will go to training and development programs.

American aircraft company Boeing on Wednesday announced that it will allocate $ 100 million to the relatives of the victims of the Boeing 737 MAX crash in October 2018 and March 2019 in Indonesia and Ethiopia. A total of 346 people were killed in these air crashes.

According to the company, part of the compensation will be transferred to the communities affected by the plane crash: with the support of non-governmental organizations and local authorities, the money will be spent on training and development programs, as well as financial support for families and communities.

In parallel, Boeing is trying to agree in court a settlement agreement with the relatives of the victims of the plane crashes. The parties have already agreed to find a quick solution to ensure that victims receive compensation without lengthy legal procedures. First, it is planned to settle the issue of compensation for the crash of the 737 MAX aircraft in Indonesia on October 29, 2018.

At the same time, a similar lawsuit was filed against Boeing due to the plane crash on March 10 in Ethiopia. American aircraft company is suspected of neglecting security measures. According to preliminary data, the crash was caused by an error in the software system.
