The amount of compensation will be determined during negotiations with the families of the victims of the disaster. The plaintiffs agreed to abandon the prosecution of companies that manufactured sensors and other parts for the Boeing 737 MAX.

After two plane crashes – in Indonesia in 2018 and in Ethiopia, which killed 346 people – Boeing 737 MAX flights were suspended for 20 months. The aircraft resumed flights after significant changes were made to the software they use and the pilot training program.

The company’s losses amounted to $ 20 billion.
