Boston Dynamics showed on video the parkour of Atlas robots

Boston Dynamics is known for its nearly $ 75,000 Spot robotic dog. But there are other solutions in its range. For example, Atlas bipedal robots, which were able to learn parkour.

Boston Dynamics has published two new videos at once. The first video showed Atlas robots doing parkour. They simultaneously do somersaults, jump and pass the obstacle course. In the second video, the developers tell what difficulties they had to face in the process of teaching robots all the tricks.

Atlas, unlike Spot, is not a manufacturing solution, but a research platform that allows engineers to test new technologies. It took Boston Dynamics specialists several months to create a set of exercises. He gave the opportunity to test Atlas robots, testing the possibilities of maintaining balance by changing behavior and coordinating actions.
