It is noted that the channels’ programs “do not comply with Canadian broadcasting standards.”

The Canadian government has banned the broadcasting of Russian TV channels RT and RT France in the country.

This is stated in the statement of the Canadian Radio and Television Commission.

“Today, the commission officially excluded RT and RT France from the list of non-Canadian software services and stations allowed for distribution,” the regulator said in a statement.

The document notes that the programs of these channels “do not comply with Canadian broadcasting standards.”

Earlier, the European Union banned the broadcasting of the RT TV channel and the work of the Sputnik agency on the territory of the community.
