The Ministry of Transport of Canada has banned national airlines and aircraft registered in the country from flying in the airspace of Ukraine and adjacent zones, including Moscow.

“In response to the conflict unfolding in Ukraine, we have issued a notice prohibiting Canadian operators and owners of aircraft registered in Canada from entering the airspace of Ukraine,” the Ministry of Transport said in a statement.

The ban also applies to the airspace, which includes Moscow, Rostov, Belarusian Minsk and the Moldovan capital Chisinau, the Ministry of Transport said.
