American actor, producer, and dancer Channing Tatum will return to the role of a stripper in the sequel to “Magic Mike.” Deadline reported this.
The third part of the franchise will be called “Magic Mike’s Last Dance” and will be released on the streaming service. It will be directed by Steven Soderbergh, who worked on the first film, which was released in 2012. The premiere date of the third part has not yet been announced.
“Is there anyone on the screen more charismatic and attractive than Mike? We are very pleased to return to working with Channing, Steven, and their creative team to bring back a wonderful combination of dance, drama, romance, and humor,” commented the chairman of Warner Bros. Pictures Group Toby Emmerich commented on the new project.
The tape “Magic Mike” tells about the friendship of strippers from Florida. The film is partly based on real events: the main actor and producer of the film Tatum worked as a stripper in his youth for about eight months. “Magic Mike” was filmed with Tatum and Soderbergh’s personal money. The actor and director invested $7 million in the production.
