From September 28 to October 3, during the Great International Airshow in Zhuhai, China, the developers will present many interesting aircraft models. Among them is the CH-6 (Cai Hong) model of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.

The publication reports that the editorial staff has details about the new development. Thus, it is reported that the CH-6 jet drone is “a large, high-altitude, high-speed, durable, multi-purpose unmanned aerial vehicle.” Also, the device is distinguished by great endurance, flight range and carrying capacity.

In terms of design, the new drone looks like the previous model, the CH-5, with the only difference that it has a tall T-tail and the shape of the long wings is slightly modified.

The maximum take-off weight of the vehicle is 7.8 tons, and the carrying capacity is 300 kg (reconnaissance configuration) or 2 tons (reconnaissance and attack configuration). Fuel reserve – 3.42 tons (reconnaissance configuration) or 1.72 tons (reconnaissance and assault configuration).

The total length of the CH-6 is 15 m, the wingspan is 20.5 m, and the height is 5 m.In level flight, the maximum speed is 800 km/h, the maximum endurance is 20 hours (reconnaissance configuration) or 8 hours (reconnaissance and attack configuration). The maximum range is 12,000 km (reconnaissance configuration) or 4,500 km (reconnaissance and strike configuration).

In terms of take-off weight, this is one of the largest UAVs in China, which, moreover, can fly at a record speed for such a device of 800 km/h. Also the CH-6 can be used as an aerial long-term stationary platform.
