The decision of the TV channel is due to the fact that Chris Cuomo helped his brother during the harassment proceedings.

The American TV channel CNN has decided to fire TV presenter Chris Cuomo, the brother of former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, who resigned from his post due to allegations of harassment. This was reported by the press service of the TV channel.

Earlier this week, Cuomo was suspended indefinitely while being investigated for helping his brother during harassment proceedings. “We hired a respected law firm to conduct an investigation and fired him,” the report says, the decision of the TV channel takes effect immediately.

The company also noted that in the course of clarifying the details of the case, additional information appeared and, despite the dismissal, the investigation will continue.

51-year-old Chris Cuomo has worked at the TV channel since 2013 and for the past three years has been hosting an author’s news program in the evening. Prior to working at CNN, he was a correspondent, expert, and presenter on other leading American TV channels – ABC, NBC, and Fox News.
