One of the world’s largest confectionery manufacturers Mondelez International has suspended its advertising and investment activities in Russia due to the situation in Ukraine, the company said in a press release.

“We will focus our activities on the main offers, stop all new capital investments and suspend our advertising spending,” the statement said.

Mondelez International is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of confectionery and food products, its headquarters is located in Illinois (USA). Mondelez was formed in 2012 after Kraft Foods Inc. split into two companies. The manufacturer operates in 160 countries of the world, a representative office in the Russian Federation was opened in 1994. Among the company’s brands are Alpen Gold and Milka chocolate, Oreo cookies, Dirol chewing gum.
