Jeppe Kofod stated that Denmark supports the work of investigating the killings of civilians in these areas.
Danish Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod walked through the streets of a suburb of Kyiv to see the destruction caused by Russian troops before their departure.
He tweeted that it was “terrible” to witness the destruction he had inspected with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba.
Kofod also said that Denmark strongly supports the investigation and prosecution of those responsible for the killing of civilians in these areas, and the transfer of cases of investigation of possible war crimes to the International Criminal Court.
The Danish Embassy in Kyiv resumed work on Monday, after it closed at the beginning of the war. Kofod said he raised the Danish flag over the building.
