British actor and screenwriter Stewart Bevan has died at the age of 73.

British actor and screenwriter Stewart Bevan has died. This is reported by The Sun with reference to Bevan’s former common-law wife Katy Manning.

“He was the love of my life on screen and behind him, our wonderful friendship lasted until the very end,” she said. It is known that the couple has two daughters from Manning – Coral and Wendy. Bevan died at the age of 73.

Stewart Bevan was born on March 10, 1948 in London. The actor is best known for his role as biology Professor Jones in the tenth season of the science fiction series Doctor Who. His character helped the Doctor defeat the evil plant. It is noted that Katy Manning in the same season played the partner of Doctor Who – Joe Grant. The last time Bevan appeared on the big screen was in 2009, in the film directed by Tom Harper, The Scouting Book for Boys.
