The United States was one of the first to launch a mass vaccine: it began in December 2020, and by August 2021, about 70% of the population received at least one of the vaccine components.

The authors of the new study analyzed the rate of vaccination and its impact on the US population: they looked at data from statistical services of all states from the end of December 2020 to May 2021 and compared this data with the level of vaccination in the population in these regions of the United States.

As a result, it turned out that early vaccination prevented about 3 million cases of COVID-19 infection and slept from the deaths of about 140 thousand Americans. The greatest effect of vaccination was observed in New York, and the least of all it affected the epidemiological situation in Hawaii.

Our research highlights the incredible success of the early months of mass vaccination of the US population. The information we have collected confirms the effectiveness of measures aimed at maximizing the population’s access to vaccines.

If you recalculate the success of the vaccination company in money, then the US economy saved $ 625-1400 billion.

This amount is several times more than $ 13 billion, which were allocated for the development and manufacture of vaccines.
