Erdogan considers it necessary to improve relations between Turkey and the United States

The Turkish leader stressed that Washington continues to support terrorist groups to a much greater extent than Ankara expected.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday that relations between Ankara and Washington should be at a completely different level.

“I have never had problems with previous American presidents, as it happens with [Joe] Biden. The United States continues to support terrorist groups to a much greater extent than we expected. Relations between Turkey and the United States, which are NATO allies, should be at a completely different level,” Erdogan said, speaking to reporters.

Meanwhile, the day before, he admitted that he “did not manage to start working well” with Biden.
