Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan conveyed to Russian Leader Vladimir Putin Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s intention to meet with him in Turkey, Ankara will continue to work in this direction, Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin said.

Earlier, Kalin said that Zelenskiy told his Turkish counterpart Tayyip Erdogan that he was ready to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Istanbul or Ankara.

“Our president (Erdogan) has already conveyed this message (about Zelenskiy’s readiness) to Putin. We will continue our work in this direction. Holding such a meeting will certainly have a positive impact on the situation. As Turkey, we are ready to contribute,” the TRT Haber TV channel quotes Kalin as saying.
